Diet Rule #9

Do not Obsess Over Your Food Portions

You do not have to weigh and measure your food unless you want to. It’s recommended you start out by measuring the foods you eat most frequently and once you become familiar with your servings, you’ll be able to judge your food on sight with minimal effort. Eat an amount of food you feel comfortable with. In order of importance, your carbohydrate portions are the most critical component of each meal because carbohydrates have the greatest influence on blood sugar control and insulin levels. Within reason, you can be less specific with the amount of protein and fat you consume.
